Poor little princess is not feeling too well. She had fever on Sunday night after getting her injections and her fever was up and down up until last night when it finally subsided.
She was still having fever yesterday evening when we came back from work, even though she had been taking Panadol regularly, so we took her to see Dr Mary. The good thing about Adventist Hospital is that they have pediatric night clinics from Sundays to Thursdays so it is convenient for working parents like us.
On top of the fever, she also had diarrhea. Dr Mary suggested that we switch her to a soya formula instead of her regular formula and if she still has watery stools 3 times after taking the soya formula, then to give her diarrhea medicine. The doctor said her diarrhea is caused by a virus and it was probably because she is always putting her fingers into her mouth. She might have touched something unclean which caused her to have diarrhea. I did wonder was it because of all the food that we let her taste on Saturday but it is unlikely because she only had diarrhea on Tuesday so there is too long a gap for it to be caused by the food.
So we had a few sleepless nights, getting up to check her temperature and to feed her water regularly. Thank God that her fever finally subsided last night so now we just have the diarrhea to deal with.
This morning she was happily smiling and kicking as usual, so she should be alright and we just need to monitor her that she does not get dehydrated. Her Daddy is home with her today so she will get lots of attention and spoiling! :)
Her Daddy and I pray for her everyday that she will recover soon. We don't want to see our little girl sick and hope that she will soon be her normal, happy self!
Baby being sick means 2 other ppl unofficially "sick" - stressed, sleep deprived. But it helps parents to gain new experience as well. God grant quick healing to little Hannah :)
ReplyDeleteYes it is definitely a new experience for us. People have told us that it is the first of more to come!
ReplyDeleteHannah is the Lord's child and He will not let her experience what she can't endure. There is a saying God will not take you where His Blessings will not protect you so He will protect Hannah. It is a learning curve for all who loves her.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Hannah! We will keep you in prayer.
