10 months today

Just yesterday, out of the blue, Hubby sent me an email with the title "I still think these are her cutest pics :-)". So out of curiosity I opened the email to find out exactly which photos they were and they were these:

I believe I did post them up before with the title "Hannah and Mummy's dress" :)

That was almost 6 months ago now, when she was 4 months plus. I told Hubby her face at that time was so "bulat" and her hair so spiky.

Today she is 10 months old. Her features have not changed much. Her cheeks are still round, but lesser than when she was smaller. Of course she is louder and more demanding and able to communicate what she wants, her likes and dislikes. She is also much more mobile, resulting in Mummy and Daddy having to have eyes at the back of their heads.

In 2 more months she will be a year old. Our baby is growing up.

Too many bright lights!

Let me tell you what I did last Sunday. I woke up late, so Mummy and Daddy took me to Tanjung Tokong for brunch. See who I met there? It was Jie Jie Janice, Ee Ku Por's granddaughter, together with her whole family. Mummy took this picture when Daddy asked me to "yang" Jie Jie Janice. I can "yang" people nicely now. So manja hor?

I also took a photo with Ee Ku Por. I am pushing Daddy away because he's not supposed to be in the photo. Haha..just joking Daddy.

After brunch, we went to Cold Storage at Island Plaza to do some shopping. Look at me in the shopping cart..wheee!

I love to see the sights in the supermarket. I keep wanting to get out and touch everything, but Mummy and Daddy don't allow me to. They said they don't have money to pay if I break anything :p

Later in the evening, I went for a ride in my little bicycle near Ah Mah's house.

Check out this face. I do this sometimes when taking pictures. Mummy says it's probably because of the bright light from the camera or from the flash. Mummy and Daddy think that this is a super funny picture but I musn't get into the habit of doing this all the time otherwise it will be very hard to break.

And here it is again:

And again:

Finally...success! Isn't this a nice photo of Daddy and I?

Aahh..relaxing after a long day. I was watching my DVD in the car on the way home, lying on Jie Jie Candice's lap. Daddy's new car has a DVD player which I will point and point to everytime I get in the car. This is also one of my latest antics. I will keep pointing to something I want until someone gives it to me. So anyway, I like to watch my DVD very much. The only problem is, it's the same DVD all the time, so everyone else has to watch it too!

Making funny faces

Last Sunday, Mummy and Daddy took me to e-Gate for lunch. After some deliberation, they decided to eat at Noodle Station. Mummy and Daddy used to patronise the place quite often before I was born, but due to some "issues" (that's a story for another day :p) they have not been there for a long time.

So anyway, Mummy had her small camera in her handbag so they decided to snap some photos of me making funny faces while waiting for the food. Sorry for the extra bright lights in some of the photos - non-professional mah :p

This is one of my favourite things to do nowadays - twist my lips like this. Mummy doesn't even know how I can do that; she herself can't do it. You will see me doing this when people ask me to do "flying kiss". My kiss doesnt "fly" however, because I have not mastered the hand action yet so I will just smack my lips :)

In this photo I am trying to blow bubbles, or rather generously give everyone "showers of blessing" when my saliva flies everywhere. Mummy is trying to cut me of the habit. She says she doesn't know where I pick up these things from.

Here I was trying to tell Mummy and Daddy something. I have a very loud voice, you should hear it.

I was also asking a lot of questions. I can't talk yet, but I can make a lot of "question-like" sounds. Just yesterday, my toy rolled under the TV cabinet. Mummy and Daddy didn't notice so I made my "question" sounds and then they helped me to retrieve the toy. Good-leh :)

Now I am asking where is my food?!

I don't like to wait too long...

Oh well, perhaps I should take a nap while waiting! :p I do this whenever people say "or-or" (sleep). I will lay down my head and pretend to sleep :)

More swimming photos

Last weekend, Daddy took me swimming again, how fun! We just went to pool downstairs from our house since all my cousins came over for swimming too!

Look at my nice new swimsuit. This was given to me by Aunty Chia Yin's cousin, Aunty Aleen Cheong. Wasn't that nice of her? Mummy tried to get a photo of my new swimsuit but I was too impatient to get into the water. I was already looking towards the pool and smiling and wanting to join my cousins!

Yay, into the water now! I stretched out both my hands and splashed the water around.

Daddy taught me the basics - kick, kick, kick!

Jie Jie Pei Yi just arrived. I was looking at her and asking her to get in the water, quick! Come and join the fun!

Daddy took me to the jacuzzi again too.

See how excited I was! I love the bubbly feeling of the water underneath me.

I love swimming time!

First time in the swimming pool

Last weekend, Hannah got to do the one thing that she had wanted to do for a long time - she got to dip in the pool, and not just her feet!

It was a last minute decision, since her cousins came over for swimming, so we did not prepare any float for her. However, she in fact has 2 swimming costumes. The one she is wearing below was given by Sue and she has another 2-piece suit given by another good friend.

So, before going in - to test the water - one leg in first.

As curious as always - she was trying to put her fingers into the holes.

Okay, now she is ready to go in! Since she did not have a float, Daddy became her "float". Haha.
She was so excited, kicking her feet and waving her arms, but I did not manage to get it on camera.

She especially liked the jacuzzi - kicking her feet all the way.

Overall, she thoroughly enjoyed herself. Since it was the first time, she was only allowed about 15 minutes in the pool and then it was time to get out so as not to get a chill. There were big howls of protest when I carried her out because she wanted to play longer, but we assured her there would be "next time if Hannah is a good girl".

Perhaps this weekend we will take her again to a different pool at our other home. More photos to come then! :)

Fun at Youth Park

Last weekend I went to Youth Park again. Now that I am bigger, I am able to enjoy myself at the playground more.

I played on the swings (Mummy helped to push me):

I played on the slide:

I played on the rocker thingy shaped like a tortoise :)

I played on the see saw:

And my favourite: I got to play water at the swimming pool! I kept leaning over to touch the water fountains and got myself all wet!

How fun! When can we go again Mummy and Daddy? :)

Oh, and by the way, I went for a haircut after that at a proper hair salon. I was a good girl and did not wriggle around too much and let the uncle cut my hair. Daddy also had his hair cut.

How do I look? ;)

Nine months already

I turned 9 months old on February 26th. Mummy says officially that the time I have been outside in the world is the same that I was inside Mummy's womb (I was born 12 days earlier though).

Anyway, I can do lots of things now that I am 9 months old. I can:

- sit by myself
- crawl on hands and knees
- crawl and then sit up by myself
- stand with support
- "cruise" i.e. move around the room by holding on to things such as furniture
- point to things that I want
- eat almost anything which is not hard or chewy (I have 2 little teeth) - I actually prefer small spoons of rice rather than porridge
- clap my hands
- cross my hands
- put my hands above my head when people say "hands up!"
- recognise words such as flower, bamboo, swimming pool, fan, light, Mummy, Daddy, Ah Mah, Ah Gong and many other words
- say "Deh" for Daddy and "mum-mum" when I want to eat
- call Ah Mah's doggy Xiao Hei (but I only say "Hei")
- pat my chest when people say "pa-pa" (scared)
- shake my head "no no" when I don't want something and nod "yes yes" when I do want something
- wave "bye bye"

These are videos of my latest antics. I am always fascinated by Mummy's and Daddy's mobile phones. Only ocassionally I get to play with them because Mummy and Daddy say that babies shouldn't play with phones so much because of the radiation. I have a few toy phones, though - one of them is even a Blackberry, fu-yoh. Mummy says even she doesn't have one ;)

So anyway, I am at the stage that I like to imitate what I see other people do, so everytime I see Mummy and Daddy say "hello, hello" while holding the phone to their ear, I like to do it too! :)
