Over the weekend, Hannah entered a children's colouring contest at Penang Sports Club. The contest was open to member's children for 2 separate categories, 4 to 8 years old and 9 to 12 years old. We had lunch, and then it was time for the contest.
Hannah has always had an interest in art, so she was quite eager to join the competition. We did tell her however, that it did not matter if she did not win a prize, it was her effort that counted and that she tried her best.
The two little ones did not join, but the organisers were so kind as to let them have some colouring fun too!
I forgot to take a picture of Hannah's finished piece, but she did a good job and coloured everything nicely within the lines. So for her effort, she got a consolation prize (which every participant got haha).
Next year hopefully she can win one of those trophies! Good job Hannah!

3H at Taiping Zoo
I've forgotten how many times we have been to Taiping Zoo over the last few years, since we had Hannah. This was easily her 5th or 6th time there, and I think Heidi's 3rd time. But for little Helene, this was her first trip to the zoo!
We dressed the girls in the coolest clothes we could find and they also had their hats and sunnies.
Heidi as expected was not a big fan of the zoo. Since our visit to the farm the other day, she had reiterated her dislike of animals! But she still managed her signature big smile for a selfie with Mummy.
Hubby mostly carried Helene so she could see the animals. See similar photos like these of Hubby carrying Hannah and Heidi, and now he's carrying Helene. Any resemblance? :)
I'm not going to post many pictures of the animals here, but there was one new animal at the zoo, and it was this bird. I have no idea what it's called, so I should probably pay more attention to the signages next time!
Of course, no trip would be completed without selfies/wefies!
Posting a picture of the flamingos because they looked so pretty by the water.
Oh, and little girl specifically requested for a picture with the giraffe, so here it is :)
And this was taken from the "Elephant Peek", a spot where you could get a nice view of the elephants from afar.
Last wefie before heading home. I guess Heidi was the happiest, judging by her smile! Hahaha.

Entopia Penang
We were off for six days during the Hari Raya week, so since we did not go anywhere, we decided on taking short trips to nearby places.
On Tuesday, I took leave and we took the two elder girls to watch "Finding Dory". It was quite a good show and all of us (even Hubby!) enjoyed it.
Heidi also got a new jacket (on sale at H&M), so Helene inherited her old one, which was in fact quite new as it was hardly worn. When we got home, the girls insisted on modelling their new jackets and I couldn't resist taking their photos because they did look so incredibly cute!
The next day, which was the first day of Hari Raya, we went to the newly opened Entopia, which was previously Penang Butterfly Farm. The entrance tickets are not cheap, RM49 for adults and RM29 for children 4 to 12. But until 31 July 2016, there is a special promotion price of RM39 for adults and RM23 for children. The weather was quite good, cloudy but no rain.
We managed to see quite a lot of butterflies, and got some nice shots of them.
Since they have revamped the place, the indoor display is quite extensive. You can easily spend several hours there. Even for us with young kids, we were there almost 2 hours.
There are a lot of interactive displays which are interesting for both children and adults.
My Do Re Mi watching a show about butterflies in the "cinema" :)

We will probably take the kids there again, since there is so much to see and do!

Audi Dream Farm
Over the weekend, we went to check out this place which was recommended by a friend. It's called Audi Dream Farm out in Balik Pulau. Our friend said that it would be a fun place for kids to visit, and since we had Pei Zi staying with us, we decided to go and check it out.
For MyKad holders, the entrance fee is RM7 for adults and RM3 for kids. Heidi and Helene were free. You can also buy a set of seeds/grass etc to feed the animals for RM9. So we did.
The first stop was to feed the birds. They were quite friendly and will rest on your hand to feed directly off your hand. Hannah was thrilled! :)
Heidi vehemently declared, "I don't like animals!" so the only thing she would feed were the fish haha.
Besides that, the farm also had all sorts of poultry, chicken, turkey and geese.
They also had goats, but we didn't stay there for long because the smell was really quite overwhelming. The rest of the farm was pretty clean though, save for the goats!
After we walked one round, the girls wanted to go and pet the rabbits again (except for Heidi lol). Helene's face in this photo is pretty funny haha.
And then it was time to go home! It was a fun morning out for the girls.
