Funny Hannah

Hannah was scrolling through Hubby's phone when one of his contacts' profile picture caught her eye. Instantly she said, "Wah Daddy, Hello Kitty is your friend ah??"

Also, some time ago, we were having dinner at an Indian restaurant in town. Who knew that paper thosai could make such a good toy?

A morning at Gurney Drive

Besides taking Heidi to the beach for the first time, we also took her to Gurney Drive for the first time to have a stroll. Look at her happy face :)

She tried hard to keep up with her sister though.

Heidi always wants to be like her jie jie so she wanted to walk up as well after some time.

Free entertainment is always good - will definitely be back! :)

Fun at the beach!

We realised that in so many months, we had never taken Heidi to the beach before, even though we live in Penang! So during the long break that we had, we took one of the days to have a morning at the beach. In fact this was her second time, as during her first visit to the beach just a few days prior to that, we did not plan it and so were totally unprepared for it! She still had a ton of fun though, and so did Hannah.

The second time we were more prepared so armed with extra clothes, towels, beach toys etc. we headed for the beach again. Both kids were super excited, and this time, they even dipped their feet in the water.

Once Heidi had a chance to feel the water, she no longer wanted to play in the sand! I managed to get a nice picture of Daddy and his girls (after having buried Hannah's feet in the sand lol).

Hannah also brought along her bubble contraptions so after building sandcastles, they had fun blowing bubbles.

As expected, they did not want to leave, but as it was time for lunch and it was getting hot, we had to go. But we will certainly be back! 

Happy January!

It is now the 3rd day of 2014, and we enjoyed a good long break from work after Christmas. We didn't go anywhere, but just took the kids around Penang and stayed home and rested :)

On Christmas eve, we had dinner at our friends' Kok Hsiang and Chia Yin's place and our kids had a fun time playing and running around with their kids. Believe it or not, all the kids managed to stay up until 1 am plus when everyone finally left! I changed Heidi into her pyjamas earlier and as expected, not even 5 minutes in the car, she was fast asleep.

On Christmas day, the kids woke up past 11 am (not surprising considering the time which they slept) and the first agenda of the day was to open their presents! Just look at the happy faces :)

Later in the day, we had potluck at MIL's place and the kids had a gift exchange. I haven't had time to transfer the photos from our Nikon DSLR, so no pictures for now!
