Day at the beach

Last Saturday morning, Daddy, Mummy, me, Uncle Kok Hsiang, Aunty Chia Yin and Jie Jie Isabelle took a drive up to Batu Ferringhi to..guess what? Eat roti canai! You must think that we are crazy, right, but this is what Daddy and Mummy and their friends like to do sometimes, and we kids love it too, especially when we get to "mum-mum" and play!

There is a nice place to eat roti canai, right at the End of the World at Teluk Bahang. It was too yummy so nobody remembered to take pictures :p I have never tried roti canai, so I was allowed to have a little bit - Mummy says a little girl like me is not supposed to have so much oily food.

After that, we went to the Hard Rock Hotel beach to play! Jie Jie Isabelle brought her beach toys so we started to build a sand castle!

Here are the both of us busy at work:

See, I helped as well!

This is my first time playing with sand, so I was quite amazed at the feeling of the sand in my hands and feet. I took off my shoes so I could feel the sand between my toes.

We went hunting for items to build our castle:

So from this:

Tadaa! Isn's it pretty? Of course, Daddy helped us with it as well :)

The wind was blowing in my hair...

What a fun outing..and Daddy and Mummy are happy too! :)

Bath time with the funny hair

We realised that we have not taken many bath time photos of Hannah, probably since most of us were subject to embarassing bath photos during our own childhood! :p

Hannah really loves her bath time. She takes a bath at least twice a day and most of the time, she refuses to get up from the tub! She loves playing with her bath toys and splashing water around.

So anyway, these are some "funny hair" photos taken during bath time recently. Hannah is blessed to have plenty of hair, so this is what her Daddy did during bath time:

Oops, it fell flat!

Chang Loong Asia Seafood Restaurant, Sunway Tunas

Hubby's cousin who was a chef in Singapore has come back to Penang and opened up his own restaurant. So over the weekend, we went there to eat twice, on Saturday night to celebrate Steven's birthday and then again on Sunday night to celebrate Fathers' Day.

This is us on Saturday night. Hubby is indicating "2" because we arrived the second :) I will put up more pictures on Facebook and you will understand what I mean :)

We ordered the 8-course set dinner, but we only remembered to take pictures of the 1st and last course and forgot the rest until it was all gone, as usual! :p

First course was the usual hot and cold dish, pretty yummy!

And this was their special dessert, orange and mango ice cream. However, the pineapple and coconut flavours are the best (we tried the coconut on Sunday night and it was delicious!).

This was the birthday cake bought by Max - green tea.

We took a photo with the birthday boy:

As well as the usual group photo:

And last was a photo with the chef! This is Hubby's cousin Hock Chuan. Do they look alike? :)

On Sunday we went again to the same restaurant. Hubby's sisters and cousins were all there too, so we had pre-booked 3 tables in advance. Hannah is wearing a new dress given to her on her birthday by Sue. It fits just nicely now so we thought that she had better wear it now before she outgrows it.

Photo taken with Daddy and Jie Jie Pei Yi. We did not manage to celebrate earlier, hence the lack of Fathers' Day photos because I had to work in the morning and Hannah stayed home with Hubby until we came out in the evening.

I thought this was a sweet photo of the two of them: pretty girls in pink! :)

This was taken at the restaurant, where Hannah met her little friend Melissa who is Hubby's cousin's daughter. She is just coming to 5 months old.

Happy Fathers' Day to Hubby and to both our fathers as well!

Oh yes, and dear blog readers, please do pay a visit to Chang Loong Asia Seafood Restaurant. It is located at No. 38, Persiaran Mahsuri 1/2, Sunway Tunas, 11900 Penang. For reservations please call 04-6461231.

Happy Fathers' Day!

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it...
Dad

Happy Fathers' Day Daddy!

Healthy Sunday

Last Sunday, we had a very "healthy" family day. In the morning, Daddy and Mummy took me to youth park to play. We arrived a bit late (I woke up late) so there were many people when we got there. I had lots of fun as usual, with a big smile on my face :)

I now like the slide very much too. There is a mini slide at Dr Mary's clinic and I like to slide down it. In fact, I can even climb up the slide after I have come down, Mummy was so surprised when I climbed almost all the way up the slide!

Little children like me love to go to the playground very much. I couldn't decide which toy I wanted to play with first!

I was really very happy, as you can see :)

Later, Daddy took me for a walk.

By the way, I can walk on my own now! I learnt to walk immediately after my 1st birthday.

I am still not that steady yet, but I am improving everyday. Daddy says I need to practice walking on the grass, so in case I fall down, I don't hurt myself that badly. Look at me walking!

To continue our "healthy" day, in the evening Daddy took me and Mummy to Air Itam Dam. Believe it or not, Mummy has not been there before. Daddy teased Mummy as to whether she is actually a Penangite.

I was admiring the dam below. Do you know there are many fishes and turtles in the dam? A lot of people were feeding them with bread.

Mummy likes this photo; she says it is very "artistic".

I also managed to climb the flight of stairs which led to the playground, with Daddy's help of course. However, Daddy and Mummy didn't let me play at the playground because it was dirty and not well maintained.

This is me and Daddy when Mummy asked me to "smile!". Cheeky me!

Daddy's birthday 2010

On Daddy's actual birthday (8 June), we couldn't go anywhere because Mummy and I were sick! We got sick after we came back from Melaka; we had fever, cough and running nose. So Daddy's friends brought the birthday cake to our house. Wasn't that nice of them?

I helped Daddy to blow the candles:

As well as to cut the cake:

Group photo of all Daddy and Mummy's friends:

Then on Saturday, Daddy and Mummy and their friends went out to celebrate Daddy's belated birthday. Ah Mah looked after me for a couple of hours so Daddy and Mummy could enjoy their meal. This is where they went:

The food was so-so only but the restaurant had a nice ambience. It housed a lot of antiques, which is probably why it is called a "museum" restaurant.

Oh yes, and this was our present to Daddy for his birthday. Mummy got some of my nice photos and did this photo frame for him. We had the photo frame given to us earlier when I was born. Daddy likes it very much because it's all pictures of me! Heheh.. happy birthday Daddy! *Muaks*!!

Hannah at Queensbay

I am a bit behind in my blogging, so here are some photos of Hannah from when we took her to do one of her favourite things: playing at the Kiddyland at Jusco Queensbay! We took her the day after her birthday, and she really enjoyed herself :)

She can shift the "gear":

I forgot what was this exactly:

Birthday slide show

This was the simple video which I put together to be shown during Hannah's birthday party at Tanjung Bungah Hotel. The pictures are in chronological order from the time she was born up until her birthday.

The music is Pachelbel's "Canon in D" which Hannah has been listening to ever since she was in my tummy and is now her bedtime lullaby.

Hope you all enjoy it :)

Melaka Trip

Over the weekend, Daddy took us to Melaka for a short holiday. We went early on Saturday morning and came back on Monday night.

This photo was taken on the way there at the first toilet stop. "Hands up!" :)

This was what greeted us as we arrived in Melaka "Selamat Datang ke Melaka". Melaka is Malaysia's historic city which is why it is known as "Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah". This was the first time to Melaka, not only for me, but for Daddy as well!

After putting our things down at the house (we stayed at Da Ku's sister-in-law's place), we went to the Melaka Butterfly Park.

This is a photo of all us kids with Daddy. Now everybody "hands up!" :)

Look at me and Daddy making funny faces.

The butterfly park not only has butterflies, but it was a mini zoo of sorts with other types of animals too. I was admiring the giant tortoise:

Daddy showed me the cute rabbit:

Another family photo:

We only had dinner that night at 9 something because everywhere was full on a Saturday night! It seemed like the entire Melaka came out to eat that night. So finally we had to settle for "choo char". Despite the long wait, I was still my happy self.

The next day, we decided to go and visit some of the historic sites in Malacca. This is a photo of Daddy and Mummy. I am sitting in the stroller but how come nobody took my picture as well??

This is the central area with the big fountain:

Christ Church Melaka:

Look at me and the flowers; aren't they pretty?

I went for a trishaw ride with Ah Mah and Jie Jie Candice. That was a lot of fun! :)

The weather in Melaka was really really hot, so Daddy got me this:

All these red buildings are known as the "Stadthuys".

After that, we went on the Melaka river cruise. I took a photo with the boat driver too!

Me making my cheeky face:

We also took a family photo on the boat:

At night we went to Jonker Walk which is Melaka's big night market. I got a few toys from there too!

All in all was a fun trip, even though it was quite tiring, and there were a lot of places that we did not manage to visit. Hope we can go again soon!
