Uncle Max's house-warming

Last Saturday, Daddy and Mummy took me to Uncle Max's house-warming party because he just moved into a beautiful new house. Everyone was there, even Uncle Tze Ming and Aunty Chou Feung were back from Kuala Lumpur and Aunty Teera was back from Miri.

Everyone took a group picture because Uncle Steven said that it is not often that we get a chance to do so!

I made a new friend there as well; Aunty Teera's daughter Tarissa. She arrived quite late though, so I had already changed into my pyjamas by that time.

Jie Jie Tarissa and I had a good time "chatting" with each other :)

Daddy thinks this is a cute picture; Jie Jie Tarissa steals a smile while I look into the camera:

Aww...sayang...

We also took a nice family picture:

And here is a nice photo of the four of us. Doesn't Jie Jie Tarissa have such a sweet smile?
I was getting sleepy so no smile from me! :p

Hannah stands up

This new year seems to have brought many important milestones for our little Hannah. In this month itself she has learnt to crawl, "dance" and now she can stand with support. She can position herself in an upright position and stay there for a quite a long time. Of course, we are always watching her in case she tumbles over!

She is very excited with her new ability, and now that she can stand, she no longer wants to sit! She likes to stand up and see things in her playpen at her Ah Mah's house.

At home we don't have a playpen, so she stands and supports herself with furniture eg. sofa, bed etc. This evening she had a fun time playing with Daddy on the bed, supporting herself on the bed-head. Look at her happy face :)

Daddy's hands are ever-ready to catch her in case she falls!

Happy little Hannah!

So excited!

Looks like the next thing will be taking her first steps..I wonder when that will be? ;)

Thai food and Haagen Dazs

Last Thursday I went kai-kai with Mummy, Daddy and their friends Aunty Ai Nee, Aunty Jenny and Uncle Szu-Fu. We went to have Thai food at Maa Roy Thai Restaurant and then yummy Haagen Dazs for dessert at Queensbay Mall :) By the way, this was also my first time going to Queensbay :)

When we arrived at the restaurant I was fast asleep! Mummy had to carry me with one hand and eat with the other hand. Sorry Mummy, but I was really tired..

After awhile, I woke up and everyone wanted to carry me and take pictures!

I took pictures with Mummy and Daddy of course..some of the pictures were while I was still asleep! Then when I woke up, my face blur-blur :p

Aunty Ai Nee and Aunty Jenny also wanted to carry me. Surprisingly I let them carry and did not cry.

Look at all the yummy food we had...green curry chicken, kang som fish, deep fried squid with garlic, fried kangkung, belacan fried rice, otak-otak, and of course Haagen Dazs ice-cream for dessert! I could only have Haagen Dazs though, and I love it very much! :)

We all also took a group picture at the Thai restaurant and at Haagen Dazs.

Queensbay Mall was very nicely decorated for Chinese New Year. Daddy and I posed in front of the main stage for a picture. We also looked up to see the pretty lanterns hanging from the ceiling. It was a fun outing for me! :)

Vroom vroom!

Disclaimer: The photos below are for demonstration purposes only. Young children should NEVER be in the driver's seat in a moving vehicle.

Remember when I liked Daddy's Ferrari collection very much? See how intently I was looking at the car at that time when I was only 3 months old.

Now look at what I got to do last weekend! We were on the way to Ah Mah's house and Daddy stopped the car so Jie Jie Zhen Yi could go and buy curry mee.

I now have this habit that I like to stand behind Daddy's driver's seat and pull his hair :p And also now that I can crawl and climb, I want to go all the way in front to the driver's seat. Mummy will say "no, no" and sit me firmly down even though I cry, because she says it is dangerous and I must not go there. But since the car was stationary, she relented and let me go.

Look at how I am enjoying myself :)

I even know how to "shift gears" by touching the gear stick occasionally, like how Daddy does it, but you can't see it in this photo.

Here I am attempting to sound the horn. Beep beep!

Looks like I can be a Formula One driver in future. Mummy and Daddy, will you let me? ;)

Laughing Hannah

Jie Jie Candice always makes me laugh. I am very amused when she makes funny faces and plays with me.

The video below is the short version. There is a much longer version but Mummy says it is too troublesome to upload.

And the best part about me laughing is, everybody laughs too! :)

Crawling Hannah

Little Hannah learnt to crawl over the weekend, albeit in her own way! It's more of a "tummy crawl" rather than the usual crawling on hands and knees. She sort of drags herself forward on her tummy. Previously when she tried to crawl, she would always go backwards rather than forwards, hence we used to call it the "gostan crawl" :)

We managed to get a video of her crawling. We tempted her with some colourful shampoo bottles that she had not seen before so to get her curious. We put them a distance in front of her and asked her to go get them :)

The video below was after a few rounds of crawling back and forth so she probably was tired by then. Look at how she flopped on the bed. And then later she shook her head indicating "no, no" she doesn't want to do it anymore!

Dancing Hannah

Hannah recently discovered a new trick. She can "dance" when she hears music or when we say "dancing dancing dancing". All of us had a good laugh when she first learnt how to do this.

She can also shake her head from left to right when "dancing" although it is not shown in this video. Hope to capture it another time! :)

Sleeping Hannah

This is how I sleep. So tell me, where do Mummy and Daddy have place to sleep anymore? :p

Good night, everyone! :)

New Year 2010

Let me tell you all about my exciting weekend. This was actually the first holiday I have been on with Mummy and Daddy. Where did we go over the long weekend? Well, see the picture below! :)

Daddy and Mummy's friend Uncle Steven works for Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (Mummy tells me that they supply fresh water to the whole of Penang!) and they have a holiday home in Batu Ferringhi for their employees. However, it has to be booked very much in advance because it is highly in demand as the rate is only RM50 a night! :) But Uncle Steven says that effective 1st January 2010 it has been increased to RM80. Whatever it is, it is still cheap for a HUGE bungalow! Look at some of the views that Daddy took of it. Isn't it nice?

Since the house was so big, Daddy brought my walker so I had plenty of place to run around! Oh, by the way, I wasn't the only little girl there. Uncle Kok Hsiang and Aunty Chia Yin brought Jie Jie Isabelle too, so I had a little friend to play with! :)

I think Mummy must have packed most of my toys. I was going outside to play ball with Daddy.

In the playground with Mummy:

And on the see-saw with Daddy!

After all that playing, it was time for a bath! Then Mummy changed me into a nice top and my new jeans. Mummy actually bought these jeans for me to wear during Chinese New Year, but when she brought it home and tried it on me, it fit just nicely! So Mummy said better let me wear it now in case I outgrow it by the time Chinese New Year comes! :p

We also went over to Hard Rock Hotel because it was just across the road from our bungalow. I took pictures with Daddy and Mummy next to the Christmas decorations in the hotel as well as on the beach. Isn't the Christmas tree pretty? This was also my first time at the beach.

I was not allowed to play on the beach since I am too small, but Daddy had fun playing with Jie Jie Isabelle! They made sandcastles. I will play and make sandcastles with you when I am bigger, ok Daddy?

At dinner time, everyone went for yummy seafood. I was more interested in Daddy's camera case though.

Jie Jie Isabelle loves to take pictures. So here are the both of us taking pictures. Jie Jie Isabelle, teach me how to pose and look in the camera, can?

Both of us with Mummy and then with Daddy:

Me alone with Mummy and Daddy:

Oh yes, we also went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. We took some nice family photos, both the Tans and the Lims :)

I was so excited with the balloon! :)

Daddy and I also took photos outside the restaurant and also next to a statue of Michael Jackson. Daddy says MJ died recently but he gave us some nice music during his lifetime. Maybe when I am older I will be able to appreciate his music too!

Mummy also wanted a picture. I hear she's a big fan :)

Everyone then took photos outside the restaurant and also in front of the famous guitar. But I was fast asleep! I guess I was tired out from all the excitement.

It was a fun weekend, though! Take me again ok, Mummy and Daddy! :)
