Birthday dinner

A couple of weeks ago, we had an early birthday celebration for one of our friends. We decided to go to one of our favourite restaurants, Maa Roy Thai Restaurant at Krystal Point. There were 7 of us, plus Hannah and we ended up ordering 8 dishes. We told them we wanted medium sized portions, but their medium sized portions looked pretty huge! These were some of the dishes we ordered; kerabu mango, pandan chicken, otak-otak in coconut, deep fried squid with garlic and kailan with salted fish. Besides that, we also had green curry chicken, seafood tomyam soup and deep fried kangkung. Surprisingly enough, we managed to finish up everything, and still had room for dessert :)

Hannah had a really good time with all the "aunties" (or should I say "jie-jies") willing to take her to the 7-eleven nearby and buy her little candies and chocolates. She ended up with quite a lot by the end of the evening and I quickly hid them in my bag before she could ask for more :p

This was the birthday boy Szu-Fu and his lovely wife, Hooi Lee. His actual birthday is today, 3 October :)

When Szu-Fu was cutting the cake and blowing the candles, Hannah was very interested and kept looking and pointing at the cake. We were not sure if she wanted to blow the candles or eat the cake! :p

Family photo - we finally managed to get one where she was actually looking at the camera :)

And the group photo - Happy birthday Szu-Fu!
