Hannah's first Chinese New Year

The night before Chinese New Year, we had our usual reunion steamboat dinner at in-law's place. This year, Hannah is around to join us and we got her a high chair so she could sit at the table with everyone even though she couldn't really eat anything yet.

"Hmm...what should I have? So many choices!"

"Daddy, I want that one! Why is everyone always taking pictures?"

We had the usual spread..looks yummy! :)

On the first day of Chinese New Year, Hannah woke up to 2 red packets (more like pink packets) from Mummy and Daddy! Look at her blur blur face with the pacifier still in her mouth, but waving around the ang pow.

After everyone had gotten up, bathed and changed into new clothes, we went over to my parents' place. Hannah got another ang pow from Gong Gong and Nanna.

We later went visiting to other relatives' homes and she got many ang pows. She can hold her milk bottle in one hand and her ang pow in the other hand. So ho liao.

In the evening, her Ah Mah tied her hair in the "Chun Li" style again before we went out.

On the second day, we got ready to go to Hubby's grandpa's place. Before leaving the house, we took a family photo at the door.

Before going to Hubby's grandpa's house however, we stopped over at my parents' place again because my grandma came to visit. So Hannah got another ang pow from her Ah Chor.

In this picture you can finally see Hannah's two little teeth at the bottom:

I like this picture very much. Nice photo of Hannah and Daddy.

On the second day, all Hannah's girl cousins were going to wear the traditional "qi pao" so we managed to find Hannah's outfit at Tesco for only RM8.88. She could not really fit into the normal "qi pao" because it was too big, so we found a cute top and pants for her.

Here she is taking a picture with her cousins in their "qi pao" (one is hiding at the back so cannot see her outfit):

Oh yes, and Hannah also got an ang pow from her Gong Tai. He is indeed very aged now so we find it a blessing that Hannah gets to spend this Chinese New Year with him.

Wishing all of you a very blessed and prosperous Chinese New Year!

"Xin Nian Kuai Le, Wan Shi Ru Yi, Nian Nian You Yu!"
