He turned 67 this year - we bought a cake for him to blow the candles and cut the cake. And of course Helene wanted to do that (everyone's birthday is her birthday lol).
On the 22nd of May, it was my father's birthday. He turned 64. Again, we had a small celebration at home with some close family members.
Birthday boy with the chef:
Cousins on both my dad's and my mum's side - and incidentally all of them are the second of two daughters!
Helene couldn't wait to blow the candles (again!) - it doesn't matter whose birthday it is haha.

And then the birthday boy gave ang pows to his granddaughters and nieces .
Girls enjoying the birthday cake!
And then on 26th May, Hannah turned 8 years old! It was also the last day of school, so after school we picked her up and took her to Queensbay Mall to choose her own birthday present. Being a big girl now, she wants to choose her own so she chose headphones from Smiggle. Good thing they were on sale haha.
We had a small celebration at my parents' place the night before so that my sister could be with us as she was flying back to Australia on the 26th. We bought her favourite rainbow cake from Bread History. Looks like Miss Helene was more excited than her sister haha.
My mum cooked all her favourite food so there was a delicious spread on the table.
This time, the actual birthday person actually got to blow her own candles and cut her own cake lol.
Heidi and Helene were more interested in the cake haha.
My dad put up some balloons and banners for the party.
And she got a present from Ee Ee!
On her actual birthday, we had dinner at one of her favourite restaurants, Sushi King! She chose the venue and that is her birthday present around her neck :)
We took the cake home to my parents' place to cut as the restaurant was quite crowded.
Happy birthday Hannah, we love you very much!
